Discover Kyoto’s Scenic Waterways with a Special Boat Stamp Rally!
From September 1 to December 6, 2026, a unique regional event titled “New Route Connected by Gosen-in! Kyoto Marutto Stamp Rally” is taking place across Kyoto Prefecture!
This rally invites visitors to explore 8 famous water transport spots throughout Kyoto, ranging from coastal cruise ships along the Sea of Japan to traditional riverboats in Arashiyama, Uji, and Fushimi.
Event Highlights
- Limited Edition Commemorative “Gosen-in” Gift: Collect all 8 stamps across the designated spots to receive a special 4-piece interconnected “Gosen-in” (boat seal) featuring a traditional Kyoto screen painting design (limited to the first 400 participants).
- Travel Across Kyoto’s Diverse Regions: Experience a unique side of Kyoto stretching from northern coastal areas (Maizuru, Amanohashidate, Ine) to central historical canals (Okazaki, Fushimi) and scenic rivers (Hozugawa, Uji).
- Free to Participate: Stamp sheets are free to pick up at participating spots and tourist information centers.
